The YOU Section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer's website, Inq7.net, publishes an interesting article penned by Jacob Adelman titled Superman as Messiah.
The article discusses the different possible interpretations and re-readings of the Superman storyline, featuring Christian, Jewish, even gay analogies for the Man of Steel.
Meanwhile, we wait for the allegorical references in Captain Barbell. They're doing well so far; Smallville has already been ripped off in a couple of episodes.

I am so happy Live The Life is back up again, Ganns! I do not know if I ever told you this. I picked up the first copy and thought it had so much potential. Live the Life has not folded up, I believe. It’s just on a long hiatus. I am hoping and praying that the print magazine will once again come back.
Good luck and God bless, Ganns!

Thank you, Jax! We praise God for the opportunity and know that, in His time, we will truly be able to help make an inpact for Jesus on the Web for Filipino-Christians.

Hi Ganns! Great stuff for Live the Life so far. š
The “Superman as Messiah” allegory kinda whacked me over the head when I saw the first trailer for Superman Returns back in December (?).
